The Tew Centre

The Tew Centre, spring 2007

The Tew Centre

The Tew Centre is an elegant, purpose-designed building, located midway between the picturesque North Oxfordshire villages of Great Tew and Little Tew.

It serves as a community centre for these two villages with excellent modern facilities for recreation, education, sport and leisure. It is home to the Great and Little Tew Cricket Club and is also available for private hire.

Situated on a ridge with magificent views in all directions, it is a fine venue for large or small events with a large function room, smaller meeting room, kitchen, bar and sports changing rooms. There is space outside for a marquee for larger functions and is an ideal wedding reception venue.

As discussed at the recent AGM

Baxters franchise. The Baxters bar and cafe franchise has been operating most successfully for the past three years, but the current franchise holder would like to pass the franchise on to someone new at the end of March 2012. The Tew Centre management committee would like to hear from anyone interested running a similar or even a different enterprise. Provided that the business offers a benefit to the community, the committee will be happy to consider all ideas. Please contact Claire Freeman at Baxters (01608 683896) or the management committee chairman (01608 683218 - mt@tewcentre.org.uk) for more information. A decision on this transfer will be taken by the management committee shortly after 10th February 2012.
